Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, more commonly referred to as Rhode Island, is a state in the New England region of the United States. Although it is one of the smallest states in the United States, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations across America. Johnston is a town in Providence county of Rhode Island. The area carries an Italian flavor to it. Incorporated on March 6, 1759, Johnston was named for the colonial attorney general, August Johnston.  Johnston is the site of the Clemence Irons House, which is a stone ender museum and the only landfill in Rhode Island.
